Cold wave conditions persist in Delhi, mercury rises to 3 degrees
New Delhi, Jan 4 (UNI) The cold wave conditions prevailing in the National Capital since the last few days persisted even today, though the mercury rose slightly to three degrees Celsius.
It was another cold wintry morning for the Delhiites. Though the minimum temperature rose from two degrees Celsius yesterday to three degrees Celsius today, it still remained four degrees below normal.
Slight fog was also witnessed this morning. The visibility level, however, remained near normal at 500 m.
The cold wave conditions are likely to stay for another day or two with the weathermen forecasting a minimum temperature of four degrees Celsius tomorrow.
The Met office has forecast a mainly clear sky in the city during the next 24 hours with possibility of fog in the morning.
The cold wave conditions have been prevailing in the city since early this week with the minimum plummeting to 1.9 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, the lowest of this season so far.
