Mumbai, Jan 4 (UNI) Mumbai '93 serial blast accused Mustafa Dossa alias Mustafa Majnu, who is at present languishing at Arthur Road jail, attended the wedding reception of his son here late last night after getting permission from the court.
Dossa was brought in heavy police protection at the wedding venue - Radio Club in southern part of the city, where he spent nearly two hours.
A large number of media was present outside the venue but were not allowed to take the photograph or even have a glimpse of Dossa or the guest who had attended the reception.
Policemen were present in mufti outside the marriage hall.
None of the prominent underworld people attended the reception.
Whereas ''Nikah'' which took place at Agripada's Mosque, day before yesterday was attended by underworld don Dawood Ibrahim's brother Iqbal Kaskar who was recently released from jail after facing few trials.
Designated TADA Judge P D Kode had granted him the permission following an application moved by Dossa seeking permission to attend ''Nikah'' and reception ceremonies.
The court while granting the permission, had directed the Superintendent of Arthur Road jail to take the accused in heavy police protection for a stipulated period and also restrained him from any communication with other absconding accused.
Dossa was deported from Dubai on March 20, 2003 for his involvement in the 1993 serial blast case which rocked the metropolis on March 12, 1993. He had allegedly played an active role in landing of the deadly arms and ammunitions in the coastal area of Raigad district.
Besides his involvement in TADA case, he was also involved in another Arms seizure case at Jamnagar in Gujarat .
