Aircel slashes rates to seize more market share in NE

Imphal, Jan 4 (UNI) Leading mobile service provider Aircel has decided to launch a range of new products in the form of value vouchers and mini top-ups for its prepaid customers in the Northeastern region.

An Aircel release issued here today stated that in its continued endeavours to provide the best-suited products for its customers as per their diverse communication needs, Aircel introduced the mini top-up denominations of Rs 10, Rs 25 and Rs 50 respectively. These top-ups will have calling values inbuilt in them with zero validity.

Besides, a special Rs 99 value voucher, an STD pack that allows a customer to make an STD calls anywhere in India at a flat rate of just Rs 1.20 per minute, was also launched.

All local and national SMSes will be charged at 50 paise per message and the validity of the Rs 99 value voucher would be 30 days, the release added.

The Rs 75 and Rs 80 value vouchers allow a customer to make local calls at reduced rates as low as 30 paise per minute. The former will be applicable for non-lifetime customers whereas the latter will be applicable for lifetime customers only. The validity of these reduced tarrif packs would be 30 days.

Aircel also introduced a special Rs 25 value voucher which is a night pack with special off-peak rates having a validity of 30 days.
