Kolkata, Jan 4 (UNI) A 11-member All India Forward Bloc delegation would visit Nandigram on January 10 to assess the situation and hold a rally there in mid-february, state secretary Ashok Ghosh said today.
Talking to newspersons here, Mr Ghosh said, '' We will announce today's state committee decision in the backdrop of Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee's yesterday's remarks against the Front partners in the Singur rally to be held on January six. Mr Ghosh said the people had created history by waging a battle against the government's SEZ policy in Nandigram.
He said the party would organise rally again in Nandigram in mid-February where party's general secretary Debabrata Biswas would be present.
'' We have taken several agitational programmes, including the gherao of BDO and Panchayat Pradhan offices, law violation in support of its 11-point charter of demands, '' he said.
The demand also included provision of centrally sponsored 100-days work to the BPL families, he added.
Referring to a query, he said the party would attend the bi-partite meeting with the CPI(M).
