6.0 earthquake rocks Southern Sumatra
New Delhi, Jan 4 (UNI) An earthquake of 6.0 magnitude on the Richter scale rocked Southern Sumatra today, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
It said the ''moderate'' temblor occurred at 1259 hrs (IST).
The IMD said the earthquake had its epicenter at 05.9 degree South Latitude and 103.8 degree East Longitude.
