Jodhpur, Jan 3(UNI) Newly apppointed Bharatiya Janata Party state president Om Prakash Mathur ruled out any differences in the party over his apppointment alleging that the differences were the 'creation of the media'.
Mr Mathur while interacting with the Media here at the Circuit House said ''there were no differences in the party over my appointment. Whatever is written in the media over the said differences between party national president Rajnath Singh and L K Advani and the reported disappointment of the Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje over my appointment, are the creation of the media''.
He said he accepted the post as a challenge to the party in the state. ''The party has given me a responsibility in Gujarat and I am happy that the party put up a good performance during the recent assembly elections there,'' he said adding that now the challenge is in Rajasthan as Assembly election is due by the end of this year.
He expressed the hope that the party would retain power under the leadership of vasundhara raje in Rajasthan.
He said his emphasis will be to strengthen the co-ordniation between the party and the government and strengthen the party organisation in the state.
