Gold closes at a new peak at Rs 11,080 per ten gm

Mumbai, Jan 3: Pure Gold today ended at a new record high of Rs 11,080 per ten gm with a smart gain of 265 per ten gm, even as Silver closed at a four month high of Rs 20,045 per kg, shooting up by Rs 410 per kg on strong advice from International markets, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association (BBA) said today.

Following are the closing rates of spot silver and gold: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade : Rs 20,045 (19,635) Gold (per 10 gm) Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 11,035 (10,760) Gold 99.9 purity pure gold : Rs 11,080 (10,815).
