Lingsugur, Karnataka, Jan 3 (UNI) Former Karnataka Chief Minister and BJP's Chief Ministerial candidate B S Yaddyurappa has assured free power supply to the farmers if the party is voted to power.

Addressing a farmers convention here today, he said free power supply would be provided to all the farmers who have pump sets.

Loans would be given to farmers, weavers and fishermen at the rate of four per cent interest if he would become Chief Minister once again, he added.

The farmers convention had passed resolutions on construction of alternative canal to Tungabhadra left bank canal, Narayanpur right bank scheme, announcement of support price to paddy, Nandawadagi and Goudur lift irrigation schemes and commencement of Agriculture University by upgrading Raichur Agriculture University.
