Shimla, Jan 3 (UNI) Lauding Himachal Pradesh Chief Prem Kumar Dhumal for increasing daily wages, the state unit of the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) today expressed hopes that newly-elected BJP government will continue to address the problems of the employees and daily wagers.
''It is for the first time that such a huge increase in the daily wages has been witnessed. We welcome this historical decision and hope that the Dhumal-led state government would co-operate with us to redress the genuine grievances of the employees and daily wagers,'' said state president BMS, Surinder Thakur.
Accusing previous Congress state government for marginalizing the interests of the employees, Mr Thakur said ''Virbhadra Government only facilitates expulsion the employees and promoted different anti-employees agencies''.
''We would not allow any organisation to play with the interests of the employees and on behalf of the employees, we would ensure that the service conduct rules were properly followed,'' he said.
A delegation of the BMS also met Mr Dhumal earlier in the day.
