Shrimad Bhagvad Geeta spreading spiritual knowledege at Re 1
Gorakhpur, Jan 2 (UNI) 'Shrimad Bhagvad Geeta,' the holy and spiritual book that teaches the world about religion, culture and ways of leading a successful life, is still available at a mere cost of Rupee one.
'Shrimad Bhagvad Geeta,' includes a set of teachings bestowed to Arjun by Lord Krishna during the Mahabharat battle.
The book is in great demand not only in India, but across the world.
To promote religious books relating to the Indian culture and 'Sanatan Dharm', this holy book is being sold to people at this small amount for the last eight decades.
The book is being published by the Geeta press here, which uses mordern techniques and makes it available across the world.
The spiritual book was primarily published in Sanskrit by Jai Dayal Goyandka in 1923, but owing to its mushrooming popularity, it is now available in 15 languages.
In the various editions of the holy books by the Geeta press, as many as 40 crore 82 lakh books had been published till now, which includes 719 lakh 'Shrimad Bhagvad Geeta,' 190 lakh 'Puran Upanishads,' 651 lakh 'Bhakt Charitra and Bhajanmala,' 700 lakh 'Ram Charitramanas and Tulsi Sahitya,' besides several other books.
