Rajnath Singh to address farmers rally in K'taka
Bangalore, Jan 2 (UNI) As part of its attempt to return power in Karnataka, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has organised a massive farmers convention in Lingasugur in Raichur district tomorrow, which will be addressed by Party national President Rajnath Singh.
Speaking to UNI over telephone from Lingsagur BJP State unit Secretary Shashil Namoshi today said that over one lakh farmers from Koppal, Gulbarga and Raichur were expected to participate in the convention, the largest ever in this part of the state.
Apart from the party President, party incharge for Karnataka and former union minister Yeshwant Sinha would address the farmers in which state leaders including state president Mr D V Sadananda Gouda and former chief minsiter B S Yeddyurappa would participate, he said.
On the occasion senior JD(S) leader and former minister M S Patil from Raichur district would join the party along with his supporters.
Former Inspector General of Police P R Nayak, belonging to Banjara community would also come into the party fold on the occasion, he added.
