Phagwara, Jan 2 (UNI) In a move to save electricity, Punjab State Electricity Board (PSEB) has decided to enforce use of Compact Fluorescent Lamps at the tubewells, in place of present GLS lamps.
Senior PSEB X-EN Sanjeev Kumar while talking reporters here said that instructions have already been issued to all Agricultural Power Consumers in this regard.
The consumers have to replace the bulbs with CFLs at their own expense and the order has come into effect from January one.
The XEN warned that defaulters or violaters could face disconnection of their tubewell connections without any notice.
The steps were being taken to save power energy at every stage, the X-EN added.
