Replying to a question, Mr Prakash said that there are remote chance of extension of President's rule in the State. "President's rule was extended for the period beyond six months in Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir states which were hit by terrorism. There is no such situation prevailing in Karnataka" he added. He reiterated that he and his supporters of the dissolved Legislative Assembly would take a final decision on joining either BJP or Congress party only after 'Sankranthi' (January 14).
To another question, Mr Prakash denied that he is facing stiff resistance within BJP on his admission, in his home district Bellary. Mr Prakash who had quit JD(S) in protest against indifferent attitudes of the party leaders, along with another ten legislators of the dissolved assembly was being lured by Congress, BJP and BSP to join the respective parties.
