Power generation in SJVNL exceeds targets in first three quarters
Shimla, Jan 2 (UNI) Public sector Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVNL) has generated a record 5,763 million units (MUs) of power during the last three quarters, ending December, company's CMD HK Sharma said today.
The SJVNL generated about 200 MUs of excess power in the last three quarters of the last year and this was 444 MUs more than as compared to the last year, he said in a release here.
Mr Sharma said the power plant would successfully generate 6,400 MUs of power during this fiscal and exceed its targets in the memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Power.
The company had recorded 47 per cent increase in power, Rs 732.71 crore increase in net profits and paid dividend of Rs 235 crore to 75:25 per cent equity partners of Centre and Himachal, he added.
He also expressed satisfaction at the construction activities at its 412 MW Rampur hydro electricity power project.
