Puducherry, Jan 2 (UNI) Charging the Congress-led state government with poor performance, CPI Puducherry Secretary Na Ra Kalainathan today said they would face the same situation here as in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh in next Assembly polls.
Addressing a press conference here, Mr Kalainathan said the administration had not only failed to fulfill it's poll promises like free rice, free colour TV and unemployment allowance to educated unemployed youth but also failed to take up a survey on loss of crops during the recent rains. He alleged that the administration had allotted red colour ration cards to large number of wealthy people on recommendations.
Mr Kalainathan said though his party had asked the government to constitute a coordination committee to discuss and sort out various issues, it had not taken steps in this direction.
He said his party would point out the lapses in the performance of the government. On CPI's continued support to the government, he said it would be decided in the state conference, beginning on January 4.
The three-day state conference would be inaugurated by Tamil Nadu state secretary D Pandiyan.
Party National Secretary D Raja would take part in the conference, he added.
