Srinagar, Jan 1 (UNI) A local court here has sent two alleged pimps to ten days police remand for kidnapping and forcing a girl to flesh trade.

The Additional Munsiff Judicial Magistrate, Srinagar, after recording the statement of the victim, sent Latief Ahmad and Ali Mohammad, residents of Chatabal in the down town city, to ten days police remand.

The accused were arrested when they were taking the girl in a car to some unknown destination at Dalgate.

A senior police officer said they had registered a case of kidnapping against the accused and were looking if they were also involved in the sex scandal.

Police has already started investigation, he added.

However, Forum Against Social Evils (FASE), an organisation up in arms against social evils, claimed that the girl was being taken to Delhi for sexual exploitation by the accused.

The FASE said they arrested both of them and later handed them over police station Rammunshi Bagh.

According to the FASE general secretary, the girl, with their help, named one a kingpin Saba of Batamaloo, who is allegedly supplying girls to Delhi.

The girl, hailing from a remote village in Pulwama district of south Kashmir, alleged that she was forced to flesh trade by Saba and sent to Delhi where she was sold to four customers by one pimp Rajinder. She said Saba had sold her to Rajinder for Rs 20,000.

This was second time she was being taken to Delhi for sexual exploitation, he added.

However, she returned back to Srinagar recently.
