Three killed as car hits tree

Mysore, Jan 1 (UNI) Three persons were killed and two injured when the car in which they were travelling dashed against a tree on the Bangalore-Mysore state higway near Srirangapatna early today.

Police said the victims identified as Arun, Prakash and Umesh from Madikere, were on their way to Kodagu from Bangalore after celebrating New Year last night.

The injured were admitted to the K R hospital here, police said.
