Pregnant woman gang raped in AP Village

Sanga Reddy, Andhra Pradesh, Jan 1 (UNI) A 25-year-old woman,in advanced state of pregnancy, was gang raped by more than ten unknown persons on National Highway 7 at Sankapur Village of Ramayampet Mandal in Medak District in the early hours of today.

Police said Suguna and her husband Pocha Goud were waiting for a bus at Sankapur Village to go to their native place Chinashankarampet.

A ten-member gang, noticing this, pretended to be policemen and asked them personal details after which they robbed them of money and a mobile phone.

Later, they beat Pocha Goud and took the woman into the nearby bushes and raped her one after another before fleeing.

The couple immediately rushed to Ramayampet by bus for treatment.

But the doctors refused to provide medical treatment to them as a police case was not registered.

After the intervention of police, the doctors admitted them to the hospital. A case was registered and manhunt was on to nab the gang.
