Maoist guerrillas gunned down four SAP jawans,looted AK-47 rifles
Munger, Jan 1 (UNI) Maoist guerrillas today gunned down four jawans of Special Auxiliary Police (SAP) and looted their AK-47 rifles at Rishikunj picnic spot in this district of Bihar.
Deputy Inspector General(DIG), Munger range, Manohar Prasad Singh told UNI that the CPI(Maoist) rebels attacked the SAP jawans when the policemen were on way to provide security cover to new year's revellers at Rishikund under Bariarpur police station area.
"The Maoist guerillas gunned down four SAP jawans at a lonely place", Mr Singh said.
The police launched a manhunt to nab the killers.
The rebels after firing indiscriminately shouted anti-government slogans while retreating from the spot of crime.
On December 18 three policemen including an Assistant Commandant of CRPF were killed by the guerrillas at Kadma village in East Champaran district.
