Hyderabad, Jan 1 (UNI)Andhra Pradesh Minister for Information and Public Relations and Tourism Aanam Ramanarayana Reddy today said the government would initiate measures to improve tourism in the state in the New Year.
Releasing the Diary and Table Calender brought out by the Tourism Department here, he said the state stood number one in the country with tourists increasing every year.
The Department had taken up several tourism activities in the state during the last four years with a view to attract tourists as the government had given priority for the sector in the state.
Nearly a crore tourists were visiting the state every month and the Budhavanam Project coming up at the Nagarjuna Sagar was one of the biggest tourist areas in the world.
He said the developmental activities taken up by the government during the last four years for the welfare of the people would be brought to the notice of the people through the Information Department.
