Government fails to turn people friendly: Hannan Mullah
Samastipur, Jan 1 (UNI) CPI (M) MP Hannan Mullah today accused the UPA government at the Centre of adopting 'anti-farmer' policies which have 'forced' many of them to attempt suicide in several parts of the county.
Addressing the 19th district conference of the party here, Mr Mullah said hike in prices of foodstuff and other basic commodities had adversely affected the life of common people.
He maintained that increase in the pace of capitalisation of the Indian economy and dominance of capitalist on the domestic market had weakened the position of peasants, labourers and other working community.
He also alleged that the NDA government in Bihar had failed to check the pace of growing crimes against the weaker sections.
He also appealed to the people to unite against corruption at various levels in the state as well as across the whole country.
