Civil Services Preliminary exams on May 18; changes in syllabus

New Delhi, Jan 1 (UNI) Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2008 for recruitment to the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service and certain other Group 'A' and Group 'B' Central Services/Posts will be conducted by the Union Public Service Commission on May 18 at various centres across the country.

This year there are changes in the syllabi of General Studies papers and all the optional papers of Civil Services (Main) Exam 2008, excepting the Literature papers of languages.

Details regarding the syllabus and scheme of the examination, centres of examination, Guidelines for filling up the application form etc are given in the in the Employment News/Rozgar Samachar on December 29.
