Shimla, Jan 1 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal today hinted at annulling several decisions of the previous government, saying decisions that are against the interests of the state could be reconsidered.

Talking to mediapersons here, he clarified that though his government would not work with any preconceived notion against anyone, but decisions that were against the interests of the state and benefited a few individuals would be reverted.

Mr Dhumal said complaints received on the previous government decisions would also be reviewed and action would be taken on charges made with supporting documents.

''However, the practice of taking action on anonymous letters will be discouraged,'' he added.

Replying to a question, he said the government has already initiated steps to prevent misuse of public money and department heads have been asked to submit details to the government, on a quarterly basis, on the steps taken in this regard.

''As far as the financial position of the state is concerned, the government would first diagnose the disease and then take remedial steps,'' he said.

Asserting that his government would take strict action against the corrupt, he said while the guilty would not be spared, the innocent would not be touched.

Mr Dhumal said his government has already announced that it would not tolerate corruption at any cost and swift action would be taken against the guilty.

The basic difference within both the governments was clear from its functioning, he said.

''While the BJP Government had take several steps to provide succour to the weaker sections of the society, the Congress Government was busy in a witch hunt.'' MORE UNI AS VKJ MMS1753
