Alwar, Jan 1 (UNI) CPI General Secretary A B Bardhan today ridiculed the projection of L K Advani as BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate and said the saffron party's dream of grabbing power at the Centre would not be realised.
Talking to newspersons here Mr Bardhan said after registering wins in Assembly elections in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh, the BJP was now dreaming to attain power in New Delhi but it's dream would not come true.
However, the Communist leader has stressed the need of unity among secular parties and said while, so long this was not achieved the communal parties would obviously find way to strengthen themselves.
On the Indo-US Nuclear deal issue, Mr Bardhan said Left parties would continue to oppose the deal as it was against our sovereignty.
He ruled out the possibility of early emergence of thrid front in the country but claimed that Left would emerge more strongly.
Mr Bardhan was in the town to participate in the 90th birth anniversary of Communist leader Harumal Tolani.
