BEST drivers felicitated for an accident free year

Mumbai, Jan 1 (UNI) The Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport Undertaking today felicitated 25 out of 1181 drivers for an accident free year.

The Undertaking felicitates those drivers who drive their buses without accidents throughout the year in order to encourage them and others to drive the buses safely.

The Undertaking has selected 1181 drivers in 2007, out of their staff of more than 10,000, who are an inspiration to others and gave them medals for their services.

A driver Abdul Razzak Pathan has received 27 medals, one for each accident free year, in his service of 29 years and has not been involved in an accident so far. Similarly, Ashok Salve (20 medals), Govind Neole (21 medals) and Dadaram Khot was felicitated with 25 medals for their services.

The remanining bus drivers will be felicitated in the days to come.

The felicitation function took place at Wadala bus depot and the guest of honour was Additional General Manager of BEST, Milind Gawane.
