AP Governor re-launches 'Lumbini Laserium'

Hyderabad, Jan 1 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Governor ND Tiwari today re-launched 'Lumbini Laserium', where 10 people were killed and over 30 injured in the twin blasts that occured on August 25, 2007 in the city.

The facility adjacent to Lumbini Park was described as first of its kind in the country with an integration of theatre, music, dance and laser shows with a seating capacity of 2000.

The regular laser shows were stopped after the bomb blasts, which rocked the city.

Terrorists triggered simultaneous bomb blasts at Lumbini Laserium and Gokul Chat Centre at busy Koti area, leaving more than 40 people dead and over 100 injured. The Government had stopped running shows at the Laserium since August 25.

Meanwhile, metal dectors were installed at the entrance of Lumbini Park and was not allowing the viewers to carry any lagguage inside the Laserium.

State Information and Public Relations and Tourism Minister A Ramanaryana Reddy, was among others, present on the occasion.
