NABARD sanction for AP rural infra projects
Hyderabad, Dec 31 (UNI) The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has sanctioned Rs 537.24 crore from the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF-XIII) for 1,159 rural infrastructure projects in Andhra Pradesh.
With this, the total sanctions under RIDE-XIII during 2007-08 was Rs 962.34 crore which was 105 per cent of the total allocation for the year.
Till now, the NABARD has sanctioned Rs 8,568.02 crore in the state for 1,9675 RIDF projects of which 11,157 proects worth Rs 3659.16 crore had been implemented, according to a release here today.
An amount of Rs 148.67 crore has been sanctioned to Department of Horticulture for Andhra Pradesh Micro Irrigation Project (APMIP) in 22 districts.
The project will benefit approaximately 12,832 farmers in the state and bring 1.20 lakh hectare under Drip and Sprinkler Irrigation.
