Agartala, Dec 31: The differences between Left Front's constituent CPI(M) and Forward Bloc has taken a serious turn ahead of the assembly elections in the state.

The ruling Left Front had alloted one seat for FB in the Assembly elections slated for February 2008. FB refused to acept it and have decided to go alone in the polls.

Talking to media, CPI (M) Central Committee member Bijon Dhar made it clear that the Left Front would not allow Forward Bloc in more than one seat, while Forward Bloc leaders stuick to their demnd of three seats.

FB state secretary Shyamal Roy said that his party would put up candidates in 15 Assembly seats in the coming election as their demand for 3 seats was denied by the other Left allies and it is also preparing separate manifesto to woo voters.

Meanwhile, 15 senior Congress leaders, including party state president Samir Ranjan Burman, met Tripura in-charge of the party and minister of state in Prime Minister's office Prithiraj Chavan last night for selecting the party candidates and party's allies for Tripura assembly election.
