Delhi Metro services to be curtailed for New Year

The
Delhi
Metro
rail
services
will
be
partially
curtailed
on
Line
2
(Vishwa
Vidyalaya
to
Central
Secretariat)
and
Line
3
(Indraprastha
to
Dwarka
Sector-9
on
New
Year"s
eve.
The decision has been taken to ensure safety of commuters and protection of Metro property from vandalism, a statement issued by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) stated. According to DMRC officials, train services on Vishwa Vidyalaya to Central Secretariat will stop at 8:30 p.m. The commuters can board last train from Vishwa Vidyalaya at 8:15 p.m. and from Central Secretariat at 8: 25 p.m. Train services on Indraprastha to Dwarka Sector-9 will stop at 8:18 p.m. The last train from Dwarka Sector-9 to Indraprastha will start at 7:34 p.m. while from Indraprastha to Dwarka Sector-9, the train will leave at 8:18 p.m.
The
normal
service
between
Dwarka
Sector-9
and
Karol
Bagh
will
be
available
till
11:
00
p.m.
The
service
on
Line-1
(Shahdara
to
Rithala),
however,
will
remain
unaffected.
