Chennai, Dec 31 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi today held a meeting with top officials, including Chief Secretary, Home Secretary and the DGP and reviewed the security arrangements for VIPs and leaders of political parties in the state.
The leaders of the parties had been contacted to find out if they accepted the security provided by the state.
While few of them indicated their willingness to accept the arrangment, some leaders declined the offer even as others did not give any reply.
During the course of the meeting, it was decided the officials concerned would contact leaders of political parties and explain them the importance of accepting the security provided by the state, an official release here said.
Mr Karunanidhi also advised the police officials to work diligently on security matters concerning the above groups.
