Uma's rathyatra in MP
Bhopal, Dec 30 (UNI) Bharatiya Janashakti Founder-President and former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Uma Bharti will undertake a three-month-long rathyatra from January 15 for expanding the BJ's mass base in Madhya Pradesh.
''During the rathyatra, I will make the bugle call for the assembly polls scheduled next year and also contemplate over candidates for some constituencies. Work will be done for preparing party workers right upto polling centre level. The BJ will not field nominees in any byelection in this state,'' she said today at a BJ workers' convention here.
Admitting differences of opinion with BJ bigwigs over fielding candidates in previous bypolls, Ms Bharti added that she was compelled to field nominees on account of emotional exploitation.
''Madhya Pradesh's Bharatiya Janata Party regime is harassing BJ workers. The BJP will lose in this state and Rajasthan due to corruption and bite the dust in Chhattisgarh due to exploitation of tribals,'' she said.
