Puducherry, Dec 30 (UNI) Puducherry Pradesh Congress Committee today took strong exception to AICC general secretary V Narayanasamy's sustained criticism of chief minister N Rangasamy and his letter to the Chief Secretary seeking details of government jobs and other developmental schemes allotted to his Thatanchavady constituency from 2001 to December 2007.

Adressing a press conference here today PCC(I) President P Shanmugham said that the act of Mr Narayansamy was objectionable and in violation of party discipline. He said that he was embarassed to learn about the letter and added that Mr Narayanasamy's style of functioning was a threat to party discipline.

He said he was closely monitoring the situation and if sought by the high command would submit a report. He brushed aside Mr Narayansamy's allegation that the government was ignoring other constituencies in developmental schemes and concentrating only on Thattanchavady, and said that many other constituencies had attained good development.

Mr Shanmugham cautioned the party cadres to refer their complaint, if any, to the party fora and not go to the press. Appealing them to function in unity, he said if divided, party would lose it's prospects here and it's future would be bleak.
