{image-pak flag with dif_30122007.jpg news.oneindia.in}New York, Dec 30: Pakistani officials have quietly started consulting other countries over its probe into Pakistan People's Party chairperson Benazir Bhutto's assassination, US officials have revealed.

They, however, were not sure whether the Pakistan Government was seeking an international help in the investigation or it want international community's support for its own probe. p"The Pakistan Government is discussing with other governments as to how best the investigation can be handled," the Dawn quoted a senior Bush Administration official, as saying.

In its public statements, the incumbent administration led by Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf had ruled out any international intervention in the investigation of Benazir's death.

The PPP has demanded an international probe into it and has refuted government's claims that Benazir died after she got hit from the lever of the car's sunroof and not by a bullet as claimed earlier.
