Bhopal, Dec 30 (UNI) Cold northern winds are likely to keep the mercury low for the next few days in Madhya Pradesh where Rewa and Sagar divisions are in the grip of a coldwave.

A Regional Meteorological Centre spokesman said here today that eastern winds hitherto prevented the temperature from dipping but wind direction had changed over the past 48 hours and the state's northern and eastern parts were experiencing bitter cold with Rewa recording two degrees Celsius, the state's coldest.

The weather is likely to be dry over the next 24 hours.
