Lahore, Dec 30: Two suicide bombers blew themselves up near the residence of former Pakistan Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Muhammad Ejaz-ul-Haq, in south Punjab. No one, except the suicide bombers, was hurt in the attack that took place on Sunday morning when the leader was not at his residence.
Haq is on the extremists' hit list following his role in the storming of the controversial Lal Masjid in Islamabad, earlier this year. No militant group has so for claimed responsibility for the attack. The suicide attack attempt on a politician comes three days after one such attack killed former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto on Thursday.
