Metro services to be partially curtailed on New Year's eve

New Delhi, Dec 30 (UNI) In order to prevent incidents of vandalism on the New Year's eve, the Metro rail services in the capital will be partially curtailed tomorrow on lines 2 and 3, which connect Rajiv Chowk station.

All services on Line-2 (Vishwa Vidyalaya to Central Secretariat) will stop at 2030 hrs. The last trains from Vishwa Vidyalaya and Central Secretariat would start at 2015 hrs and 2025 hrs respectively, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation sources said.

On Line-3 (Indraprastha to Dwarka Sector-9), normal services will stop at 2018 hrs. The last train from Dwarka Sector-9 to Indraprastha would start at 1934 hrs, while the last one from Indraprastha to Dwarka Sector-9 would start at 2018 hrs.

However, after 2018 hrs, full normal services on Line-3 would be available between Dwarka Sector-9 and Karol Bagh till 2300 hrs. The last train from Karol Bagh to Dwarka Sector-9 would start at 2247 hrs, while the last one from Dwarka Sector-9 to Karol Bagh would start at 2200 hrs.

Services on Line-1 (Shahdara to Rithala) would remain unaffected and continue from 0600 hrs to 2300 hrs as usual, the sources added.
