Maya's 'Ganga Express Way' mere means to serve one's greed: SP

Lucknow, Dec 30 (UNI) The Samajwadi Party today once again denounced the Mayawati-led Uttar Pradesh goverment over its ambitious 'Ganga Express Way' project, saying it was a mere means to surrender fertile land of farmers to the rich industralists.

The Mayawati government is dancing to the tunes of big market players, it is adamant to surrender agricultural land to the rich industralists in the name of the project,'' SP state unit spokesperson Rajendra Chaudhary said.

Mr Chaudhary said every step of present regime was based on self-profit and its decision of rehabilitating those displaced due to the project is only a trick to cover its greedy intentions.

He further said the UP government was trying to sell thousand hectares of land to multinational-companies and other market players at a low price.

The SP spokesperson declined to accept that government would fulfill its promise of rendering job to one member of the displaced family.

He said SP would continue its agitation till the ''Ganga Express Way'' project was taken back.
