Bangalore, Dec 30: Former Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, who underwent an open heart surgery in a super speciality hospital here recently, was discharged today. After being discharged, Mr Kumaraswamy, who underwent surgery for replacement of a valve in Wockhardt Hospital on December 20, went to Adichunchunagiri Mutt along with his wife and well wishers to seek the blessings of Balagangadhara Swamiji.
Talking to newspersons at the mutt, Mr Kumaraswamy said he would soon be active in politics and prepare the party to face the coming mid-term elections to the State Assembly. To a question, he said ''nothing special in visiting the mutt. I wanted to have darshan of the Swamiji and get his blessings for my speedy recovery and to lead the party in the elections.'' Earlier, Mr Kumaraswamy was accorded 'Poornakumbha' welcome at the mutt. He had postponed his discharge to today on the advice of astrologists.
