Puri, Dec 30 (UNI) Internationally acclaimed sand artist Sudarshan Patnaik's creation of Lord Jesus on Puri's sylvan beach has found a place in the Limca Book of World Records.
Sudarshan had created the world's biggest sand art of the Christ on the eve of Christmas and would be on display till January eight.
Talking to mediapersons here today, Sudarshan said he had got a letter from the Limca Book of Records.
''New Delhi Senior Editor Arthy Muthanna Singh informed me that my sand sculpture has been included in the Limca records,'' Sudharshan said.
The 60 ft long, 30 ft wide and 22 ft high sculpture of Jesus Christ had been created by him along with 15 students, including 6 girls, from his Golden Sand Art Institute.
About 600 tons of sand was required to complete the sculpture in 25 hours, he added.
Sudarsan has so far participated in more than 34 international sand sculpture championships across the world and won many awards for the country.
Last year he had created the World's longest sand art of Santa Claus, which was also placed in ''Limca Book of Record''.
