Policeman dies after hit by unknown vehicle in South Delhi

New Delhi, Dec 29 (UNI) A policeman died after an unknown vehicle hit the motorcycle which he was driving in South Delhi late last night, police today said.

Police constable Avinash, posted at C R Park Police station, was on patrolling duty when the unknown vehicle hit him at outer ring road at Chirag Delhi at 2240 hours yesterday, police said.

Avinash, a resident of district Alwar in Rajasthan, was taken to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences where he was declared brought dead, police said.

The hunt is on for the vehicle.
