Lahore, Dec 29 (UNI) Despite the spiralling violence following the assassination of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, the PCB has released the itinerary for the Zimbabwe tour to Pakistan early next year.
The Zimbabweans are expected to arrive in Pakistan on January 12 for a five-match ODI series.
They will have two tour matches -- a four-day match against Patron's XI in Karachi from January 14-17 followed by a three-day match against Governor Sindh's XI from January 22-24.
The Africans play their first ODI in Hyderabad (January 26), second in Karachi (January 29), third at Multan (February 1), fourth at Faisalabad (February 3) and the last at Sheikhupura (February 6).
The unrest in Pakistan in the aftermath of Benazir Bhutto's tragic assassination has cast doubts on the tour but PCB said the tour is on ''as of now''.
''I feel it is not appropriate to talk about cricket just now. We will look at the situation in 2-3 days,'' PCB chief Nashim Ashraf said.
A senior PCB official said, ''Nobody from the Zimbabwe board has yet got in touch with us about the situation.'' ''As of this immediate moment, it is on. But ultimately your guess is as good as mine.''
