Tibba, (Kapurthala) Dec 29 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today said his Government had not yet taken any decision so far on the withdrawing of subsidies and freebies in the power and other sectors.
Interacting with mediapersons at village Tibba before laying the foundation stone of the upgradation of senior secondary school, Mr Badal held previous Congress government responsible for the present power crisis saying ''it did nothing about power generation.'' ''Now it would take three to four years for the state to become self-sufficient in power generation,'' he said.
However, the state government was trying to ease the power situation by contacting the power generating states to overcome this problem, the Chief Minister said.
The entire Northern grid was facing a power crisis at present, he added.
