Militant arrested in search operation in south Kashmir
Srinagar, Dec 29 (UNI) Security forces arrested a militant and also launched a search operation early this morning in south Kashmir.
Officials said SOG arrested a militant Bashir Ahmad Laway during a naka checking at Kadlabal Nambal, Awantipora and recovered a pistol and five rounds from him.
SOG of Jammu and Kashmir police and 44 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) launched a joint operation at village Drubgam in south Kashmir district of Pulwama following a tip off about the presence of militants there, they said.
All the exit points were sealed and house-to-house searches launched in the village, sources said adding the identity cards of male members were being checked.
No one was so far arrested, they said.
