Ahmadiya Muslim Community's Annual meet begins at Qadian
Qadian, Dec 29 (UNI) The 116th annual gathering of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community started today at Qadian, Punjab.
The gathering is being attended by thousands of Ahmadi devotees, who have assembled here from all over the world, mostly from India, Pakistan and neighboring countries.
Initiated in 1891 by the founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, this Jalsa is being regularly held every year in this small township of Qadian.
The main objective of the convention is to promote peace in the world and to project the pristine teachings of Islam.
