Mumbai, Dec 29 (UNI) Nine school students were brutally beaten up by their teachers during a two-day National Social Service (NSS) Camp at Karjat in Raigad district of Maharashtra.
Students of Pathak Technical School, Vakola, Santacruz (East) had gone for a two-day NSS Camp at Karjat, starting from December 27, where nine students were allegedly beaten up by their teachers, who were in an inebriated condition.
Speaking to UNI, Rajhans Dikshit, a class nine student of the school, said that he along with his friends Umakant and Bhushan were allegedly made to wake up at 0200 hrs yesterday by Patil and Kadam, who are teachers at the school, and were badly beaten.
''We were made to run without our clothes for some time, and were beaten up with sticks that had nails fixed on them,'' he said, allegedly the teachers were drunk when they thrashed them.
The students were scared to speak about the incident, and had to undergo treatment before they were sent home.
The school opens on January 2 but, the students are reluctant to attend classes.
