Jaipur, Dec 28 (UNI) Social activist Swami Agnivesh today said the Centre has assured for enactment of new law for ensuring due labour rights, social security, safety measures and justified minimum wages for workers in unorganised sector.
Talking to newspersons here, he said in response to the popular demand the Centre had already constituted a committee for the purpose.
He also expressed serious concern over poor living conditions of mining workers in Rajasthan and urged the state government to take effective measures for prevention of diseases like Silicosis.
The Arya Samaj leader was in the town to participate in the national seminar on problems of mining workers organised by Gravis Headcon.
Rajasthan State Human Rights Commission Chairman Justice N K Jain and around 100 other delegates from eight states participated in the seminar.
