Bangalore, Dec 28 (UNI) Former Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, who underwent an open heart surgery for replacement of valve in the heart at a super speciality hospital here recently, will be discharged tomorrow.
Talking to newspersons at the hospital today, he said, ''I am completely fit and within a month I would be ready to lead the party in the coming mid-term elections to the State Assembly.'' Mr Kumaraswamy thanked the doctors, who performed the operation, and other medical staff.
Defending his taking treatment in a private hospital instead of the state-run Jayadeva Hospital, he said, ''If I was admitted there, then the entire attention would have been on me and it would have affected the common people.'' The JD(S) leader was admitted to Wockhardt Hospital here after he complained of frequent chest pain. He underwent surgery on December 20.
