Bangalore, Dec 28 (UNI) Former Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, who underwent open heart surgery for replacement of valve in the heart at a super speciality hospital here recently, would be discharged tomorrow.
The JD(S) leader was admitted to Wockhardt Hospital here after he complained of frequent chest pain. He was operated upon on December 20.
Speaking to newspersons at the Hospital today he said, "I am completely fit and within a month I would be ready to lead the party in the coming mid-term elections to the State Assembly." Mr Kuamraswamy thanked the doctors who performed the operation and the other medical staff.
Replying to a question, Mr Kumaraswamy defended taking treatment in a private hospital instead of State run Jayadeva Hospital. "I did not wanted to deny common man getting treatment in the government hospital. If I was admitted there then entire attention would have been on me and it would have affected treatment of public, which I did not like".
