Mayawati govt will fall after Ballia bypoll: Mulayam
Ballia, Dec 27 (UNI) Denouncing the Mayawati led-Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) in Uttar Pradesh, principal Opposition Samajwadi Party (SP) supremo and former state Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav today claimed the days of her regime were numbered as it's 50 MLAs were in contact with the SP.
''The BSP government would fall soon after the December 29 Ballia bypoll. After the election, a campaign to fall the Mayawati government would kickstart,'' Mr Yadav said while addressing an election gathering on the last campaigning day here.
''I am seeing the Ballia bypoll results through rose-tinted spectacles. SP nominee Neeraj Shekhar would get a rip-roaring victory at the hustings,'' he underlined.
Mr Singh reproached Chief Minister Mayawati for claiming to have supported Neeraj Shekhar, son of former Prime Minister late Chandra Shekhar, if he had represented Samajwadi Janata Party (SJP) in the Ballia bypoll.
''Mayawati is lying...BSP had announced the name of Vinay Shankar Tiwari even before the ashes of the late PM were immersed,'' the SP leader said.
