By Staff

Hyderabad, Dec 27 (UNI) India discard Md Kaif cracked an unbeaten century helping Uttar Pradesh (UP) set up a huge target for victory in the four-day Ranji Trophy Super League Elite Group-B Match against Hyderabad here today.

Former India Middle Order Batsman Kaif hit an unbeaten 100 in 150 balls with eight fours and three sixers, adding 170 runs for the fourth wicket with Ravikant Shukla (70 n.o. 6x4, 1x6).

UP declared the second innings at 294 for the loss of three wickets immediately after Kaif's century.

D S Manohar and S A Pai tried to put Hyderabad on track in the second innings adding 49 runs after opener Abhinav was out for just two runs.

UP Bowler Gupta got rid of Pai to push Hyderabad into deep trouble. With eight wickets in hand, Hyderabad require another 383 runs for victory which now seems very distant.
